NPARC Meeting notes: Monday, May 8, 2017
Time start: 7:30 PM
Location: NP Senior Center/Decorso Center, E. 4th St., New Providence, NJ.

Attendees: Jeff, NJ5R, was our guest speaker.

1. W2PTP, President, called the meeting to order at 8PM:
   A) Memorial Day parade: Another call was made for marchers. Rick, WB2QOQ, is once again the club coordinator for this annual event.
      Please send Rick an email via the reflector (or direct) if you are interested in marching. 
   B) NPARC Field Day: June 24/25. Application submitted to GLHS for use of our usual location. UPDATE from W2PTP (5/15/17)- Approval obtained for use of the field.
   C) K2AL has CW proficiency training tapes and CD's. AC2GL wil make copies for those members interested.
   D) Reminder to get your QSL cards ready for the Outgoing QSL Bureau so KC2OSR can arrange to send to ARRL. Sam will be collecting cards for the next month. 
      So bring your QSL's to the next two meetings.
   E) Jeff,NJ5R, announced a special event: On May 28, "Boy Scouts on the Air",from Blairstown. Please listen on 40 and 75 meters phone in order to make contact with the scouts.
      This event will help the scouts earn a merit badge. 
   F) KD2EKN discussed the need for volunteers for the NYC Marathon and also for its Awareness Day.

The rest of the meeting was spent ragchewing, drinking coffee and once again,enjoying Norma Cohen's chocolate chip cookies.
